Chilling with SBD

Today is National Ice Cream Day – the perfect day to share the story of Chill Bros, and how we helped them build their brand with custom umbrellas.



The story begins with three Chillura Brothers and a Chillura Sister (between the ages of four and twelve) and their plans to open a much-needed Scoop Shop for their neighborhood in Tampa. They would serve the best homemade ice cream in town, and the whole neighborhood could walk there every night after dinner. It was a childhood dream until about twelve years later, when Max (the middle Chill Bro), traveled to Bologna Italy, to learn the art of ice cream making. Upon his return, they developed a truly all-natural, American style ice cream made from absolute scratch, with passion, care and the best ingredients they could get their hands on. They renovated a historic building in Ybor City where they could both make and sell their ice cream, built out a full-scale ice cream kitchen, and began serving really good homemade ice cream.


As the business grew, The Chilluras had a vision for extending their branding to the outdoor areas of their scoop shops, and we were more than happy to bring their vision to life, with Montecito aluminum umbrellas in Malibu Blue, with a Cabana Red Stripe Lining.




Chill Bros scoop shops are popping up all over Florida, where folks can chill under our umbrellas while they enjoy their cones.
