Introducing our 2022 Inspirations
For the second year, we celebrate the work of photographer Slim Aarons, by reimagining umbrellas from his iconic photos. But– with a twist, and a nod to some of his lesser-known images. A colorful capsule collection based on three Aarons photos takes center stage for Outdoor 2022 and includes St. Tropez Beach, France, 1977, Poolside in Sotogrande, Spain, 1975, and Scone, Madam?, Beverly Hills, CA, 1952.
Aarons captured “beautiful people in beautiful places, doing beautiful things.” Many of those places were outfitted with colorfully commanding outdoor umbrellas which provided not only shade for the beautiful people, but additional visual interest for Aaron’s photos. Santa Barbara Designs proudly reimagines these original shade structures for today’s ‘beautiful people’ with its signature designer styles and a myriad of custom component options.
