Bel Air Flair
On a sunny day at a hillside estate in Bel Air, we marveled with designer and homeowners at just how little shade there was in the expansive grounds overlooking the Stone Canyon Reservoir. The newly renovated Mediterranean style home was receiving its final outdoor touches, and the bright California sunshine underscored the need for umbrellas. As the homeowner explained, warm weather means family visits, with lots of time spent outdoors. Our task: create four distinct umbrella styles, one for each of the outdoor furnished spaces on the property.
The homeowners wanted the four styles to be cohesive, and work with the neutral tones of the home – but they also wanted a touch of whimsy.
Our creative team was up to the task … and you can see the results below. Just add summertime and the kiddos.
