Amanda Lindroth creates environments that are fresh, casual and comfortable. While she has been strongly influenced by classical architecture and proportion, she is also heavily influenced by the islands and island life.

“My love of Santa Barbara Umbrellas comes from my nostalgia for the iconic sun resorts of the 1920’s to 1960’s. I have a magical recollection of the Cabana Club, which was built in the 1920’s in Boca Raton, Florida. There are a few other similar spots, like the original Surf Club in Miami. These sprawling environments had fringed and striped umbrellas.”

“Santa Barbara Designs was the first company to bring these beautiful umbrellas back into production. We are so lucky to have these iconic shapes and their joyful look with their modern construction and engineering. AND UV protection! I use them in all my projects!” –Amanda Lindroth
