Style Spotlight on Malibu

This Mediterranean style estate in Malibu, California got a recent makeover by Los Angeles based Interior Designer, GeGe Pender.

Working with hardscape, landscape, and breathtaking views reminiscent of an Italian Riviera resort, GeGe set out to bring the outdoor living spaces to life with furniture and furnishings, adding pops of color throughout.

“I decided to use Santa Barbara Designs Double Decker style umbrellas in a cheerful Orange Slice pattern with their fabulous fringe because they played so well off of the stately architecture. These umbrellas were inspired by the umbrellas found across the Mediterranean seaside towns in open air markets. They serve an important function, shade protection but they also add architecture, fill an open space and add big personality to a project” said GeGe.
