Fashion Trend: SBD @ Art Basel

Two weeks ago, Miami Beach played host (for the 14th time) to one of the most sought-after and meticulously planned events on the American art world calendar. About one-half of the galleries at Art Basel come from the United States or Latin America, and for dealers from places like Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.

And where art is found, a fashionable crowd is never too far behind. Designers, fashion houses and magazine editors throw events and parties, and for those in the know and who can get past the velvet rope, Art Basel is a whirlwind of non-stop revelry.

Gracing one of those very private fashion parties were our very own Double Decker umbrellas, dressed pretty in pink with an elegant white trimmed keyhole valance.

The party took place at none other than The Webster, a multi-brand boutique offering a curated selection of luxury designer brands and contemporary fashion labels. An unexpected shower brought the party indoors, making our first-ever Art Basel appearance a bit unusual, but guests were able to see firsthand how even indoors, our umbrellas provide fashionable architecture that can really dress up an event.
