TFH Revisited

We first wrote about The Francis House almost three years ago, when this Calistoga landmark began welcoming guests as Napa Valley’s newest luxury hotel. Owners (and longtime friends of SBD) Dina and Richard Dwyer spent three years carefully restoring and redesigning the house, preserving its former glory, before opening its doors to visitors in 2018. In spite of many challenges, including wildfires, flooding and a pandemic that virtually shut down the travel industry, those doors are still open – and the Francis House experience is better than ever, thanks to Dina and Rich.

There’s no better way to start your day in Wine Country than
The Francis House breakfast.
(And, if you’re lucky, Dina made popovers!)

Poolside is a great place to spend the day…

And the lush grounds are the perfect setting for a wedding …

Rumor has it that on Halloween this property transforms into
The Haunted Francis House.

From Dina’s amazing culinary creations, to guest rooms where every detail has been thought out, to the lush grounds filled with citrus trees and herb gardens, everyone will find something to enjoy and remember. As Dina and Rich like to say, “However long you stay, you become part of The Francis House story.”
